GI Condition Diet Recommendations

  • Acid Reflux: Foods to Avoid – The foods listed on this acid reflux diet plan are individual. Some people may be able to tolerate tomatoes but are unable to have mints, or vice versa. You will have to try for yourself to see which particular foods are problematic for you.
  • Clear Liquid Diet – Clear liquid diets are typically used in preparation for certain medical procedures or tests, or when certain conditions (i.e. gastroenteritis) may limit the intestinal tract’s absorptive capacity.
  • Diverticulitis Diet – A diverticulitis diet is something your doctor might recommend as part of a treatment plan for diverticulitis. A diverticulitis diet can not treat or prevent diverticulitis; it is intended to give your digestive system a chance to rest.
  • High Fiber Diet: Constipation, Diarrhea and Hemorrhoids – Fiber – along with plenty of fluid intake – moves quickly and relatively easily through your digestive tract and helps it function properly. Eating a high-fiber diet has many potential health benefits, and it may also help reduce heart disease and diabetes. Enjoy Dr. Wolfe’s High Fiber Granola Recipe.
